The Missing Thing
Income is clearly falling. I have a plan in place that I know will work to a certain extent, but I do not know the magnitude of that extent. I just don't know.
But there is still something missing. A big part is missing. I don't know my customers. I don't know the reason that they take my courses. I don't know how they come across my courses. I don't know where to find them or what pain they are trying to solve. I just shoot blindly and hope. In the end, I have little influence or control on customer acquisition.
Things can't go on like this. They just can't. I have to try and build a real business where I fully understand customer problems, understand why they would use my solution and how they would use it. A business where the income was much more predictable.
There is no doubt that I have to pursue my plan with respect to the courses. I have to try to maintain income. But I need to change. So I have to invest some time on a regular basis into building a new type of business, one with a much more robust revenue stream.
