Connection and My Tribe
It is interesting to think about this. It feels like I have forgotten this. Maybe it is that I had to get very caught up in the numbers, in the metrics, in order to generate income to be successful. I guess that I can't be blamed for the latter. It was necessary.
So what I am talking about? What it is that I have forgotten, that I have been blind to, but yet it has always been there. I am connecting with real people in the real world, people who have voluntarily chosen to connect with me when there was a hundred other things they could have done with their time.
That's something. That's really something. Very concrete. Not some quaint vague academic exercise, but a real and very valuable thing. That human connection is magical, it really is. These people are my tribe and my audience. To serve them, to guide them, to assist them, to lead them ... one or some or all of these is an honour. Maybe it's one of the highest honours, one of the highest callings of being a human being.
This is the point. Money is the tool that will allow me to execute the point of it all.
