Art
Here is Seth Godin's definition of Art:
"Art is a human act, a generous contribution, something that might not work, and it is intended to change the recipient for the better, often causing a connection to happen.
Five elements that are difficult to find and worth seeking out. Human, generous, risky, change and connection.
You can be perfect or you can make art.
You can keep track of what you get in return, or you can make art.
You can enjoy the status quo, or you can make art.
The most difficult part might be in choosing whether you want to make art at all, and committing to what it requires of you."
Those 5 words, going to re-write them here: Human, Generous, Risky, Change, Connection
I have a strategy that I am executing to reverse the trend of falling revenue. It's there, and the only way to execute it is day by day, bit by bit, drip by drip. There is no other way. It will take time and it should.
And I am trying to do it from a place of love, joy and curiosity, as opposed to fear and worry. I have the leeway to create art. And it turns out that those 5 words above are what I am looking for, and those are the parts that have made me happy in the past. Especially change and connection. I want to know that I have helped a person change and to feel the connection in that.
I think it would be a good thing to remember this every day.
