A Different Way and How I Felt

In my last post, I wrote about taking a sabbatical. Based on that, I did today a little differently. I did not attempt to do any work, but neither did I simply do nothing. I went through a few of my electronics drawers and did some sorting and some throwing out. I threw out a lot of cables which I intend to have recycled properly, even though the cost would not be trivial.

This by no means was value-added work, but it was quite satisfying. I think a big part of the satisfaction that I felt is that I was working with my hands. I was moving, sorting, re-arranging real world objects, physical objects. There is something about it that really appeals to me. It is something that I mentioned in the last post.

Maybe this could be the way forward. Maybe the main thing to accomplish in the day would be something of this nature. Removing items that weight me down, which will allow me to work with my hands, with tools, with physical objects. Maybe that will be what my sabbatical will look like. I think that is the best idea I have for now.

It's an experiment. So that gives me the freedom adjust.
